Branding and Identity

Challenge – Bethesda Systems, an audio-visual company located in Maryland, launched a new franchise business in June 2013 – The LED Diet. The LED Diet was founded due to consumers’ increasing confusion over lighting choices. The brand aims to assist consumers in slimming down their electricity bills by determining the right energy-efficient lights and installing them for their properties. The LED Diet needed a modern and fresh brand identity that would get noticed by both consumers and potential franchise partners while authentically representing the goals of the new brand.

Solution – Developing The LED Diet brand started with a discovery process to clearly define the brand’s purpose and positioning. Bates Creative then moved into the design and development phases to bring The LED Diet brand to life. The logo and identity designed symbolizes consumers’ brighter choices of LED options. The identity was applied to all brand touch points, including: business cards, a stationery system, apparel, car wraps, ad templates and flyers. Bates Creative also designed and developed The LED Diet’s responsive website to launch alongside the launch of the new brand.
