Branding and Identity

Challenge – St. John’s Parish Day School is a comprehensive independent school providing Episcopal education to children. St. John’s identity did not adequately represent the community environment that is authentic to the day school, so the School decided to update its identity and brand strategy.

Solution – Through this branding project, we created a new identity that blends St. John’s traditional symbolism with a contemporary look and feel. The updated logo features five symbols, each with specific representation: the flame represents illumination and symbolizes a sense of wonder and active discovery; the heart represents preservation and celebration of childhood; the leaf symbolizes the development of confident and respectful citizens connected to our local and global communities; the acorn conveys an innovative curriculum and personalized learning that leads to lifelong success; and the center cross represents spiritual growth through faith formation. A full rollout of the new brand is now in place, including: a brand style guide, website redesign, signage on campus, school uniforms, spirit wear, and event invitations.
