Debbie is constantly running: a business, a design team, her two boys to gymnastics practice and even half-marathons when she has the time. Her entrepreneurial trailblazing skills as President and Founder of Bates Creative, combined with her natural ability to connect with people on a personal level have Debbie fostering relationships with clients one minute and catching happy hour with her team the next. Sometimes she even busts out her roller skates to get her from points A to B.

Project goals are established and executed thanks to Debbie’s 20+ years of experience in cross-platform design and publishing strategy. Her visionary perspective guides her Bates Creative team as growing thought leaders in the industry who have garnered more than 100 awards for clients since 2003. Debbie’s active role in the marketing community and her engagement in partnerships has attracted a national clientele of top Fortune 100 companies, influential associations, education institutions and government agencies.

For Debbie, 24 hours in a day just isn’t enough (unless Amazon Prime’s speedy shipping is involved). Along with her regular contributions to media and marketing events across the country, Debbie has also served on numerous boards in the DC Metro area, including her active role as Chief Creative Officer for the American Marketing Association, DC Chapter.

Work hard, play hard is the mantra she lives by. It’s just another week in the life of Debbie to be posing alongside her family in Disney World on a weekend to shaking hands with clients and traveling to conferences during the week. Keep pace with this boss lady and you’ll never be short of strategy and good design.
