Case Study

Turnaround Management Association

Turnaround Management Association (TMA) is a non-profit organization of more than 50 chapters worldwide hosting over 8,000 professionals who seek to bolster the global economy. TMA’s strength comes from its diverse membership of professionals committed to a common goal: stabilizing and revitalizing corporate value.

TMA worked with Bates Creative to redesign its website to better accommodate TMA’s growing community of professionals. In tandem with its creative efforts, Bates Creative teamed with website development partner, Unleashed Technologies, to develop TMA’s new website in Drupal. Transitioning to the Drupal CMS offered simplified user navigation and membership renewal processes for TMA.

When we hired Bates Creative, our website was as antiquated as you could get. To be frank, the website was doing damage to the brand and wasn’t just in need of an update – it was in need of a 100% creative and functional overhaul. The creative process was organized, collaborative, and pushed us even further than we thought we could go. We could not be happier with our partnership with Bates.

Designing and Developing for TMA’s Global Community

Due to the large size of TMA’s global member base, Bates Creative redesigned the website with a clean user interface and intuitive navigation that renders for each device to lend opportunities for chapters to spawn individual chapter sites almost instantly.

The added capability of rapidly producing chapter sites is beneficial to both the overarching organization and its chapters. While regional chapters are given the flexibility to customize content and assets unique to its regional chapter, it assists the parent brand in maintaining brand consistency that adheres to brand guidelines established through the main site. Now, chapters no longer need to report to the global office to make updates to their sites.

TMA’s global website is a catchall for people who do not have TMA chapters in their country, but for those who do, logging into their designated chapters is now easier.

To better accommodate the scale of events that TMA’s parent organization and chapters host, Bates Creative designed a robust calendar of events to be a focal touch point for members to learn about the organization’s more than 400 events each year.

The website redesign reflects the prestige of the TMA brand and level of professionalism that the organization upholds its network to, while also attracting the interest of prospective members through the bold design and intuitive entry points.
