How do you balance doing the work yourself versus managing your team? When do you hire a design specialist versus a generalist? How do you keep clients happy and build a lasting relationship? Over a cup of tea, Debbie will answer pressing issues that are hot on the minds of creatives, freelancers, and small business owners alike. Attendees should come with questions prepared!
This crossover event marries two of AIGA DC’s signature event programs: Business of Design and Salons. Business of Design events explore in-depth topics to create professional development within the workspace and focus on topics designers may not have had exposure to in their education. Salons are small, intimate events that are exclusive to members only and normally feature a designer or freelancer who speak to their experience and lessons learned. This special event, Small Business Growth and Success, will bring together the business of design subject matter and professional development topic with the salon’s intimate setting — it’s a unique event for AIGA DC members.
This AIGA DC hosted event will be held at Teaism at Penn Quarter, a cozy tea house suitable for small, intimate conversations. Attendees should expect an informal Q&A-driven program, and are encouraged to ask Debbie questions. This is an exclusive event for AIGA members. Space is limited and capped at 20 attendants.
