Brand Strategist

Bates Creative, a Silver Spring-based creative brand experience agency, is looking to hire an enthusiastic, experienced Brand Strategist who is excited to be part of a growing, fast paced strategic and creative team. Brand Strategist will be responsible for leading brand and communication challenges with our clients large and small reporting to the Director of Brand Strategy.

The Position

This position reports to the President and Director of Brand Strategy

Responsibilities
  • Work closely with a highly engaged, fast-paced team to build strategic and creative analysis, planning and positioning for clients large and small
  • Utilize market research tools to perform audits and analytical explorations of client-specific assets, industry positioning, competitive landscapes, and key stakeholders/target audiences
  • Alongside the Director of Brand Strategy, summarize findings through reports in order to enable clients to strategically evolve their brand with confidence
  • Guide clients through the “why” that is shaping their brand values, strategies, individual campaigns and assist in building a unique perspective on the brand strategy that we’re offering to clients
  • Other responsibilities include supporting clients’ social media campaigns, assisting in developing new business proposals, and organization of day-to-day internal agency business processes
  • A strong understanding of the consumer marketplace and industry trends combined with a strong business acumen
  • Able to drive brand strategy, creative assets, messaging, and communications channels for clients large and small
Qualifications
  • 2-3+ years experience in a related field
  • Advertising/Design/Brand Strategy/Marketing Organization experience
  • Demonstrated experience in market research and analysis, and working knowledge of research tools
  • Proven ability to multi-task and manage multiple projects at a time while paying strict attention to detail
  • Demonstrated capacity to motivate and/or collaborate with others
  • Ability to learn to lead client meetings, creative brainstorms, and general agency development
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong entrepreneurial drive
  • Requires minimal supervision
Compensation
  • Salary based on experience
