Digital Marketing Strategist

Bates Creative, a Silver Spring-based creative brand experience agency, is looking to hire a sharp, resourceful Digital Marketing Strategist to lead digital campaign strategy, paid media and online content development for clients large and small. The ideal candidate will excel in a fast-paced, collaborative environment, while also demonstrating excellent time management skills and self-sufficiency.

  • Effectively present campaign plans (and assist in presenting the creative ideas generated by the creative team), research findings and reports to clients, segmenting targeting audiences, and strategizing the approach to the campaign
  • Plan, execute and report on a paid media campaigns. From small budgets to large, working with clients to get the most out of their digital strategy using our dashboard
  • Plan and execute organic social media and strategy to grow and engage online communities and optimize clients’ digital assets
  • Plan and execute social media, SEM, SEO and display campaign strategy to increase clients’ brand awareness and conversions
  • Create content calendars for clients to help design an approach to their digital media voice.
  • Evaluate digital campaigns through social listening and web analytics tools, evolve campaign strategies as needed, and produce client-facing tracking and measurement reports
  • Seek business opportunities for digital strategy projects and contribute to new business development, ideation and proposal-writing
  • Manage and develop content for internal Bates Creative organic social media and online accounts (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn, Google+)
    Contribute to client meetings, creative brainstorms, and agency development
  • Bachelor’s degree in related field
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in digital marketing/brand strategy/online content planning
  • Agency experience required
  • Must be comfortable with interfacing with clients – and reading their needs
    Requires minimal supervision
    You have to have a sense of humor and be able to work on your own work while collaborating with the team
  • Resourceful
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while working collaboratively with Strategy, Account Management and Creative teams
  • Excellent communications skills (verbal and written)
  • Required: Google AdWords and Analytics, HubSpot, Facebook Ads/Business Manager, Twitter For Business, Hootsuite / AdEspresso
  • Preferred: LinkedIn Ads, Pinterest Promoted Pins, MailChimp, Marketing automation software, email marketing automation software, Mac presentation tools including Keynote and Pages, Adobe creative products (Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator, Premier)
  • Salary based on experience
