The Folio: Eddie & Ozzie Awards Luncheon promised to be bigger, better and more exciting than ever—and they certainly did deliver on October 19, 2015, in New York City! While lunch was delicious and celebrated with fellow esteemed agencies and publishers across the country, being presented with four Ozzie awards for our clients made dessert that much sweeter.

Live Happy is a consumer magazine that supports the spread of positive psychology across the world. Bates Creative designs the digital edition of Live Happy using Adobe DPS. The digital edition is enhanced with animated elements, beautiful type treatments and intricate details to create an engaging user experience for readers to enjoy the magazine on their tablet devices.

Professional Photographer, PPA

Professional Photographer, the official magazine of the Professional Photographers of America, boasts cutting edge material in the photographic industry to help readers advance both their careers and artistic skillsets. To mirror the powerful and moving photography that the PPA showcases, Bates Creative selected a bold design approach to amplify the natural beauty of the photographs for a magazine redesign in 2014.

Signature, Ads and Editorial, March/April 2015

As a sponsor of Associated Media and Publishing, Bates Creative designs each cover and cover story feature design for Signature, AM&P’s bi-monthly member magazine. The celebrated issue showcased an optical illusion-esque design to exemplify the blurred lines between ads and editorial content in the same space. While publishers are challenged with focusing in on a clean distinction between the two, the overall emotion of the design of the magazine is rich with type treatments and content arrangement for a “signature” look.
