The team at Bates Creative is thrilled to be recognized a winner for its website design at the AIGA50 Awards Gala hosted on June 7th in Washington, DC by AIGADC. True to the competition’s name, AIGA50 selects only 50 of the most outstanding creative works every other year. The competition was fierce, and Bates Creative is honored to have earned this prestigious award for its own website experience.

For the 2018 competition, AIGA DC received more than 400 entries from agencies, design firms, in-house marketing departments, freelancers, interactive firms, production companies and PR firms from across the greater DC area. A panel of three judges—Christine Taylor, Account Manager at Hallmark, Ricardo Salema, Executive Creative Director at Isobar and Stephanie Hill, Business Development Manager at HP—kept a sharp eye out for entries that used design to creatively achieve their project’s goals.

In 2017, Bates Creative unveiled “Artistic Intelligence,” a mantra that fuses a keen eye for impactful design backed by strategic insight to shift the way people think about their creative experiences. With Artistic Intelligence guiding them,  Bates Creative began concepting a website that would showcase their creative capabilities and unique sense of style while demonstrating the team’s substantial strategic know-how.

The finished product is a testament to the sheer talent on the agency’s team—from an eye-popping design with animations triggered by user interactions to thoughtful IA and mobile experiences, the new Bates Creative website is the foremost ambassador of the agency’s driving methodology.
