As Vice President of Creative, Ernie excels at transforming creative goals into actionable plans that effortlessly bridge design, strategy and purposeful execution. His background as an art director and studio manager provides Ernie the roadmap to exceptional quality across all mediums.
Ernie’s contribution to Bates Creative is two-fold: a natural-born instructor and creative visionary. His cross-disciplinary experience in the design industry leads him to incite conversations that explore various perspectives. These two-way dialogues have generated results for brands including American Marketing Association, United States Army, Live Happy and Atlas Brew Works.
Ernie’s role within the Bates Creative leadership front is to evoke the agency’s core mission of shifting clients’ perspectives through design. It’s his close alignment with the agency’s marketing and business development teams that seamlessly bring Bates Creative’s process full circle from discovery to delivery.
Before joining the agency in 2005, Ernie’s work experience spanned coasts as an art director in Rockville, Maryland and Hollywood, California. Fast forward more than a decade later and Ernie continues to inspire Bates Creative to push the boundaries of design as creative lead for the agency.
